Washington University physicians provide care in the emergency room 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. To learn more about the type of emergencies and illnesses they treat, go to emergency care at Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital.
All patients who arrive for emergency care (either on their own or by ambulance) will enter the hospital through the emergency room entrance located on the east side facing Barnes West Drive. Visitors who have a loved one brought to the emergency room can enter through a door at the emergency room entrance. A representative from the patient access team can assist visitors upon arrival.
Concierge team members can help patients and caregivers navigate the hospital and medical campus. There is a concierge desk on the main level of the hospital near the front entrance and café. If you need further assistance while visiting, call 314.996.8000 to speak with a hospital operator.
