Dermatologic Surgery

Washington University fellowship-trained dermatologic surgeons work in collaboration with the referring physician and patient to identify the most effective treatments available. Physicians at Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital Center for Dermatologic and Cosmetic Surgery are fully certified by the American College of Mohs Surgery. Services include:

Skin Cancer Treatments including:
  • Mohs micrographic surgery and cutaneous reconstruction
Melanoma Management
  • Excisional surgery for various skin tumors (benign and malignant)
  • Laser surgery for pigmented lesions, vascular lesions, wrinkles, unwanted hair, and tattoo removal
  • Facial rejuvenation procedures, including laser resurfacing, chemical peels, soft tissue augmentation with dermal fillers, Botox and Dysport, and blepharoplasty (upper)
  • Scar revision (including acne scarring): subcision techniques, soft tissue filling, laser resurfacing, dermabrasion, scar excision
