Course Objectives:

  • List the main surgical treatment approaches to HCC.
  • List the differences between HCC and biphenotypic HCC tumors.
  • Analyze which patients would benefit from which type of surgical therapy based on size of tumor and presence/absence of underlying liver disease.
  • Demonstrate the radiology approach to differential diagnosis of liver tumors.
  • Demonstrate the imaging features employed in making determinations of resectability and liver directed therapies.
  • Demonstrate and analyze the different approaches to directed therapies: percutaneous ablations, arterial therapies
  • Demonstrate the role of interventional radiology in pre-surgical planning.
  • Identify Current Regional and Surgical Approaches to Cholangiocarcinoma.
  • Identify Hilar and Intrahepatic Cholangiocarcinoma.

Credit: Washington University designates this live activity for a maximum of 1 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.™ Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
