Mary Bouse graduated from The Healing Arts Center of St. Louis in December 2002 with specialized training in myofascial release and craniosacral therapy. To date her practice and training in bodywork, massage and movement therapy includes over 2000 hours. She continues her studies with advanced training in myofascial release II, the therapeutics of yoga and mindfulness based stress reduction (MBSR) which provides tools to address stress, anxiety and pain. Mary became certified to teach yoga in May 2001 with foundational training, including over 400 hours of practice, meditation, breath work and teaching. Her experience includes; working with a range of pain and dysfunction as it relates to orthopedics, sports injury, arthritis, fibromyalgia, pre- and post-natal massage and yoga programs for basics, intermediate, restorative and prenatal yoga.
Mary was on staff at Missouri Baptist Sullivan Sports Rehabilitation and Therapy as an exercise specialist, and later as a massage therapist with Hospice. She joined Barnes-Jewish Hospital's WellAware Center in 2013 as massage therapist and yoga instructor teaching prenatal yoga, yoga basics and yoga flow. Mary joined Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital's STAR staff in 2014 and continues to expand her knowledge treating orthopedic and myofascial pain patients with advanced training and collaboration with physical therapy and other medical practice areas.
