Orthopedic and sports injuries with emphasis on throwing injuries, anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) knee rehab and clinical research.
Background:
Keith received his bachelors degree in Physical Therapy in 1996 from St. Louis University. Soon after, he was the team physical therapist for the St. Louis Ambush professional soccer organization. He subsequently went on to receive his master’s degree from Washington University in 2000 where he still guest lectures on sports injury and rehab.
After joining Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital's Sports Therapy and Rehabilitation team in 2002, Keith became the team physical therapist for the St. Louis Cardinals where he worked rehabilitating the professional players for eight seasons (enjoying a World Series win in 2006!). During that time, Keith received certification as a strength and conditioning specialist in 2008 from the National Strength and Conditioning Association. He continues to treat athletes from the weekend warrior to the professional athletes in all major sports. He’s also actively involved with research pertaining the thrower’s shoulder and elbow to help patient’s recover in an expedited yet safe way.
