The American Cancer Society reports that more than 13 million Americans living with cancer deal with treatment side effects, including fatigue. Fatigue can be debilitating for cancer patients and significantly interferes with their ability to perform daily activities. Individuals recovering from any lengthy medical treatment, also may experience this same fatigue.
Fatigue Management Program Goals:
- To offer a complete physical therapy evaluation and customized treatment program to improve endurance and quality of life.
- To provide research-based, individualized treatment.
- To engage patients to take an active role toward their recovery.
- To work closely with the medical and radiation oncology teams, and/or the primary physician to achieve positive results for each patient.
The cost for outpatient cancer rehabilitation including fatigue management is reimbursed by Medicare, private insurance, and also private pay. A physician referral is required. For more information, contact 314.996.3050.
