Dr. Bhayani Named Chief Medical Officer/Vice President Medical Affairs at Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital

Sam Bhayani, MD, has been named chief medical officer/vice president - medical affairs at Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital. Dr. Bhayani is an associate professor of urologic surgery at Washington University School of Medicine and an active member of the Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital medical staff.

Dr. Bhayani is a graduate of Cornell University and the Washington University School of Medicine. He completed his residency at Washington University School of Medicine and Barnes-Jewish Hospital in 2002 and fellowship at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland, in 2003. He joined the Washington University School of Medicine faculty in 2004.

A strong advocate for patient safety and quality, Dr. Bhayani also is pursuing a masters degree in patient safety leadership at the University of Illinois.

“Dr. Bhayani has proven to be an energetic leader in his field,” says Larry Tracy, chief operating officer, Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital. “We are pleased that he is helping to lead our hospital as chief medical officer/vice president of medical affairs.”
