St. Louis Children's Hospital Helmet Check at Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital
Bike accidents result in an estimated half-million injuries annually.  Studies suggest that 88 percent of deaths due to head injuries could be prevented by the use of a hard shell helmet. But remember -- a bicycle helmet must fit properly to be safe. Children can bring their own helmets to this event, where a trained professional from St. Louis Children's Hospital will check for a correct fit and ensure that it is an approved helmet-all at no charge!

If your child needs a different helmet, or does not have one, we can provide an approved, properly fitting helmet for $8.  Parents and kids will be taught how to put a helmet on correctly so they can continue this important safety practice at home.  An appointment is required, call 314-454-KIDS.

These lesser known conditions can surface along with more common problems, such as sleep apnea, or by themselves. Without proper help, your quality of life may suffer and possibly lead to other medical conditions or even injury.

Whether you're suffering from sleep apnea, insomnia, night terrors, sleep eating or sleep walking, our sleep specialist will discuss several disorders and explain treatment options that will help you sleep well tonight for a more refreshed tomorrow.
