Course Objectives:
The intended result of this activity is enhanced knowledge/competence, performance and patient outcomes. After completion of this course, participants should be able to:
- Demonstrate awareness of currently available and recommended medical treatment options for obesity
- Implement appropriate pharmacotherapy for obesity
- Demonstrate understanding indications and contraindications for bariatric balloon placement
- Demonstrate understanding of emerging bariatric endoscopic procedures
- List the available bariatric surgery treatments
- Analyze the benefits, risks and complications of bariatric surgery
