Taking Shape

September 2018 - The inside of the new hospital is starting to look like a hospital. These photos from mid-September show significant interior progress.

This view of a patient room on the third floor shows the location of the wood grain headwall, or wall where the patient bed is located. The entry to the bathroom is to the left of the bed.
 

The public elevators, pictured here on the third floor, are positioned in the center of the hospital.
 

The intensive care unit is located on the main level adjacent to the emergency department.
 

The 14 operating rooms are located on the lower level, one floor below the main level. The support structure in the ceiling shows where the OR booms attach. 
 

Air handling units on the ground floor will circulate air throughout the 250,000 square foot hospital.
 

Water chillers and boilers are located in the central utility plant.
