Living a Healthy Life When You Have a Chronic Condition
Free six-week workshop for adults and their loved ones living with a chronic disease.
Topics Include:
• Techniques to deal with problems such as frustration, fatigue, pain, depression and isolation.
• Exercise for maintaining and improving strength, flexibility and endurance.
• Nutrition, including fats, salt and sugar.
• Appropriate use of medications.
• Communicating effectively with family, friends and health professionals.
• How to evaluate new treatments.
Thursdays starting August 19 • 1—3:30 p.m. • weekly for seven-weeks
